Welcome to level IV!
Level IV, Command and Staff, is the forth of CAP's Five professional development program levels. During this level you will become master rated in your specialty track as well as continue to learn more about the corporate side of CAP. To complete this level, complete the below objectives with the help of your Professional Development Officer (PDO) as outlined below (in accordance with CAPR 50-17). Should you have any questions about what you are learning in level four please do not hesitate to talk to your mentor, unit Professional Development Officer, or unit Commander. When you complete level IV, you will be awarded the Paul E. Garber Award.
To Complete Level IV you will need To:
Complete the Master level of a Specialty Track
Complete Region Staff College (RSC)
Complete one of the following:
1) Prepare and deliver a CAP-related presentation to a non-CAP group.
2) Conduct a hands-on unit aerospace education program,
or an external aerospace education classroom program.
Occupy a command or staff position for a total of 2 years of service to CAP.
Serve as a staff member in a wing level course or conference
