We are the Civil Air Patrol, a not-for-profit organization that serves as the auxiliary of the United States Air Force. 

Quality Unit Award Winner 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019.  Long Island Group Squadron of the Year 2015 & 2017, Long Island Group Squadron of Distinction 2018. 

Our award winning Squadron meets in Wantagh NY at the Church of St Jude every Monday evening from 7:00 pm until 9:30 pm.  We are currently the only Squadron meeting in Nassau County.

As the Auxiliary of the United States Air Force, the Civil Air Patrol has three primary missions

Aerospace Education
Cadets study the fundamentals of flight and aerospace technology through classroom lessons, self-study, fun activities and orientation flights in CAP aircraft.

Cadet Programs
A program for young people ages 12-18 that includes leadership education, character development, physical fitness and community service.

Emergency Services
Civil Air Patrol conducts 85% of inland search & rescue tasked by the Air Force and other agencies.
