Welcome to level V!

Level V, Executive, is the fifth and final level of CAP's Five professional development program. This is the highest level of CAP career development and is for those officers performing duty as commanders or staff officers. As such, only the most dedicated senior members achieve this level. To complete this level, complete the below objectives with the help of your Professional Development Officer (PDO) as outlined below (in accordance with CAPR 50-17). Should you have any questions about what you are learning in level five please do not hesitate to talk to your mentor, unit Professional Development Officer, or unit Commander. When you complete level V, you will be awarded the Gill Robb Wilson Award.

To Complete Level V you will need To:

  • Occupy a command or staff position for a total of 3 years of service to CAP

  • Serve as a director or staff member in a CAP approved course

  • Attend the National Staff College (NSC) or have completed an approved PME course
